Ludix, a game of dice

Designed by Ulrich Schädler for the SNSF Agora project Veni, Vidi, ludique. The game was born from the collaboration between Ulrich Schädler, the game inventor Niek Neuwahl and the Viennese game publisher Piatnik.

Wiener Spielakademie prize in the category “Games among friends”. This game is a mixture of pleasure, mind training, and knowledge of the Roman game culture.

Game Rules :

Ludix is made of 4 dice. The players must form true Roman numeric values. Ludix teaches players the Roman numerical system in a playful fashion. The brochure contains the game rules and gives an overview of the importance of games of dice in ancient Rome.
